Social Responsibility

When you bring happiness in people’s lives, the happiness that you get in return is priceless.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives taken at RVU India are aimed at creating an inclusive future for everyone, to benefit our communities, employees and the planet as a whole.

Being an integral part of a large global corporation, we view CSR as an excellent opportunity for us to drive positive change for each one of our stakeholders. Towards this end, we focus our efforts on various environmental causes and different segments of the society, from time to time.

Our tie-up with Salaam Baalak Trust is an excellent example of our steps in this direction. More on that below:

Initiatives in collaboration with Salaam Baalak Trust (SBT)

Salaam Baalak Trust (SBT), set up in 1988, after the success of Mira Nair's film Salaam Bombay aims to provide care and protection services to over 50000 vulnerable girls and boys. From 3 staff and 25 children on a balcony of the Ground Reserve Police at the New Delhi Railway station, they have now grown to over 150 staff, providing support services in Delhi & the NCR region through their 22 centres - 5 shelter homes, and 17 day centres.

RVU India partnered with SBT to help improve these children’s lives and provide them with the right resources and foundation to become proud citizens of India. We conducted a “Joy of Giving Week” wherein employees contributed food items, warm clothes and quilts for the shelter home, and made generous cash donations too.

On another occasion, the RVU India team helped fulfil the wishes of 40 underprivileged kids (of SBT) during Christmas time, thus making it a truly memorable day for all the participating children.

Independent Initiatives

Apart from the CSR efforts in collaboration with Salaam Baalak Trust, RVU India takes independent initiatives in this area too. For instance, on the special occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, RVU India team decided to do something special for the people belonging to the financially weaker section of our society. Looking within we found that our Housekeeping and Security staff could really benefit from such help.

Our team got all possible resources together and distributed books, school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes and stationary items including art kits to the children of these staff members.
