Our unique set of brands means we have the best of both worlds. The excitement of a startup and the strength of well established, trusted household names. And, with offices in London, Cardiff, Madrid, Paris, Mexico City and Gurgaon, we have the power to reach millions of consumers around the world, solving everyday complex problems through outstanding experiences.
At RVU we believe that 'everything is written in pencil'. We've embraced the quick thinking, assumption challenging culture that’s common across Red Ventures globally and combined it with our unique industry expertise and experience. The result? An exciting place to work, where we challenge ourselves daily and adapt to change quickly.
We will never take these privileges for granted. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the communities around us, and use our expertise and passion to give hands-on help to people who genuinely need it, through initiatives such as our Pay it Forward programme.
RVU might be a young business, but the leading brands at our core have a long and well established history behind them.
We formed in May 2018 when Silverlake, a US private equity firm, and Red Ventures, a company with a huge portfolio of well-established digital companies, acquired ZPG in the UK. Uswitch, Money and our secondary brands came together with a new identity but a long legacy - Uswitch celebrated its 20th birthday in 2020.
We’ve been running up escalators ever since, embracing change and growing with pace. In May 2021 we acquired a global network of insurance-focused comparison platforms from Admiral Group plc. We’re delighted that RVU is now also home to leading brands including Confused.com, LeLynx.fr and Rastreator (in both Spain and Mexico) as well as 150 colleagues at RVU India. And we’re still just getting started….
OUR BRANDS
Working at RVU there's always a diverse set of challenges to tackle and problems to solve across our unique range of brands, with the power to reach millions.
CEO
As CEO of RVU, Tariq leads an executive team focused on building a truly outstanding business. Responsible for leadership and strategic direction of the group, his focus is first and foremost on ensuring we are true to our culture of ‘winning the right way’:
“We believe in a high performance environment where each and every employee contributes to the collective effort.”
Tariq joined Red Ventures in 2017 to lead the inception and growth of their European operations, which included the joint-acquisition of the ZPG Group in 2018 and subsequently the creation of RVU. RVU brings together the previous comparison assets of ZPG Plc to create a distinct home services and financial services offering.
Sport - you name it, Tariq plays it…... but he admits he can be a little competitive so generally only focuses on the ones he's good at! Beyond enjoying the competition, he loves being coached, something that gets translated into RVU Culture.
With a BSc in Mathematics & Management Studies from KCL and an MBA from IESE, Tariq has held numerous executive roles in the Media, Telecoms & Digital industries. Laterly this included MD roles at Antenna Group and NBC Universal. Earlier in his career he had a focus on M&A with experience at companies including O2, General Electric and Bear Stearns.
CEO - Uswitch
Angus leads our Uswitch business, keeping more people in the UK switching their energy, broadband and mobile phones with us than with anybody else.
His team is responsible for everything that goes into delivering great deals to our millions of customers - from digital customer experience to our supplier partnerships, from marketing to data science and our customer contact team.
Angus joined at the beginning of 2021, following his passion for building digital businesses that improve everyday life.
Previously he held leadership positions in both public and private companies at Ebay, Capital One, graze.com (the snack boxes) and as the co-founder and CEO of an edtech business, Hive Learning.
Angus is married with three kids and loves sport (of any standard), learning (about almost anything) and music.
CEO - Confused.com
Louise is passionate about empowering customers to make better buying decisions and providing services that enable personalised financial journeys. Under her leadership, Confused.com has developed a number of new customer propositions and grown significantly both in terms of revenue and profit.
After reading History at Edinburgh University, Louise trained as a Chartered Accountant and soon realised her love for technology and business, holding positions at PwC and Fujitsu, before joining the Admiral Group. In 2016 she joined Confused.com as Finance Director, becoming CEO in 2017. Passionate about disrupting industry stereotypes, Louise uses her platform to actively grow the Fintech industry through her positions on the Insurtech 2.0 and Fintech Wales Boards.
In her spare time, Louise enjoys spending time with her two young daughters and husband in the Welsh countryside. They keep bees, would love to raise pigs and used to have seven chickens, but now they have a fat fox.
CEO - Money.co.uk
Bojan is the CEO of our Money.co.uk team. He leads a multidisciplinary team of Marketeers, Engineers, Designers and Commercial experts. In addition to this he also looks after our Growth function, which identifies and incubates capabilities to enable us to adapt quickly to the future world.
Prior to joining RVU, Bojan was with strategy consultancy, McKinsey, where he helped develop digital strategies in the Financial Services space across Europe and US. He holds an MBA from London Business School.
Bojan loves tennis, volleyball and singing. He’s a proud winner of two karaoke competitions in Croatia.
CEO - Rastreator.com
Fernando is the CEO of Rastreator.com, the most beloved comparison site (and basset hound) in Spain. He puts much of his focus into the business, the team and its unique culture - the perfect combination following a University degree split between business and psychology.
Fernando joined Rastreator in 2011, initially leading the Commercial and Product areas before stepping up to lead the business in 2016. Before Rastreator.com, Fernando worked in banking and insurance for BBVA for ten years, despite saying he would never work in finance (his love of numbers was just too strong).
Although originally from Cordoba, which he claims is the most beautiful town in the world, he now lives in Madrid with his wife, daughter and a ‘real’ dog.
CEO - LeLynx.fr
Itzal joined Rastreator.com in 2014, initially as CMO and then as Insurance Director. In January 2019, and practically coinciding with her return from maternity leave, Itzal did not hesitate to accept the new challenge of moving to France with her family to become Lelynx.fr’s CEO.
Since then, Itzal has worked together with her team to help make it easier for French consumers to make decisions about insurance, and LeLynx.fr is now one of the market leading comparison platforms in France.
With an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, Itzal has more than 15 years of experience in tech and e-commerce. Fluent in English, French, her native Spanish and also speaking some German, she has a broad international background having worked in the UK, France, Germany, Australia and Spain.
Under the guise of ‘exercising’, in her free time Itzal loves to hop on a bike and tour all corners of the city with her husband, to find the best Parisian boulangerie.
International Chief Growth Officer
Born in Barcelona, globetrotting Angel co-founded Rastreator.com as CIO back in 2009 and was instrumental in building the brilliant team and special culture that makes the brand so unique today.
Since then he has held multiple roles including Online Marketing Director and Head of Multiproduct, in addition to assisting with RVU India.
With both parents as Doctors, Angel was faced with a tricky decision between studying Computer Science Engineering and Medicine at degree level. He’s never looked back though, and having completed his degree at Newcastle University in the UK, he carried out a Masters in Open Source Software in Liege, Belgium.
With a passion for knowing and understanding different cultures, Angel’s mantra is, ‘Never turn more years than countries you have visited’. With 90 countries under his belt so far, we think he’s in a good place for the years ahead.

She was the chief of operations at the Seguros.es brokerage before joining Rastreator Mexico. Angel Hidalgo launched Rastreator Mexico in 2017, & Pilar Garcia has been the new CEO since 2022. As our CTO Paul leads a technology division of 60+ people across the cross-functional delivery teams that release features and changes up to 1,000 times a week.
Paul joined Uswitch in 2010 to scale teams and technology to drive better business outcomes. With 20+ years' experience Paul has held a number of engineering leadership roles, including at Forward Internet Group and ThoughtWorks, a specialist software consultancy.
When not at work, Paul enjoys spending time with his young family, relaxing in the garden and barbecuing with his Big Green Egg. He probably reads too much non-fiction and obsesses over headphones.
Head of Regulation
Richard is our Head of Regulation and leads engagement with the Government, regulators, and industry stakeholders to facilitate greater consumer choice, improve customer outcomes, and promote competition in the energy, communications and personal finance markets.
He also leads our regulatory compliance function, helping our consumer-facing teams maintain high standards.
Prior to joining Uswitch in 2014, Richard worked in the communications sector regulation for both a telco and Ofcom, the UK's communications regulator.
Richard lives in southeast London with his partner and can often be found cooking something, and during May, taking the Eurovision Song Contest slightly too seriously.
Chief People Officer
As our Chief People Officer, Colin has overall responsibility for the employees in our business. Whether it's hiring, developing, promoting or retaining people, his aim is always the same: To have the best people work for RVU, and provide them with a work experience like no other.
Prior to joining RVU, Colin worked in various roles across the staffing and outsourcing industries for 20+ years, holding a number of senior management roles for both FTSE and private companies.
Based on his accent you’d never know it but Colin is American by birth, originating from New Orleans. He claims his love of hot weather, spicy food and bourbon stem from childhood experiences but we suspect it's more likely to have been TGI Fridays.

Tejinder joined the business in 2009 as an Enterprise Database Architect, he is highly skilled in database technologies, machine learning, cloud solutions, architecture & amp and IT strategy planning.
